San Antonio Lighthouse

Located in the Punta de Cuerno or Cuirnu, in the San Antonio massif, which has been used since 1917 to guide vessels, it also has acoustic signals. This site, during the eighteenth century, was used to protect the coastline and the port, where in 1770 three canyons of the so-called ‘DE A 24’ were installed, with corresponding guards, guns and ammunition.

After the end of the war against England in March 1793, the camps were dismantled and kept on site until they were moved on 13-06-98 to their current site near the Prau de Gervasia. In the vicinity of this Faro, a small Recreative Area was built in 2000.
