A bit of history

To the west of the Carranques beach is the island of Entrellusa, where the former ballenero port, documented since 1232, was located. Perlora was also home to the Cueva Oscura (Coyanca), now destroyed, with the oldest remains of human presence in the municipality, the Upper Palaeolithic.
