Commonly known as ‘La farola’, located approximately 200 m from the entrance to Candás, near Playa de Palmera. It was placed in 1904 on the peña de Los Angeles, next to the current Paseo de la Marina Española, to serve as a guide for vessels until the current Faro de San Antonio came into operation in 1917.
It consists of an iron column and has a container in which, on 14 September each year, the waters of the five large oceans are discharged, where they are mixed in memory of the seafarers who die at sea. The stone of the Angeles is currently attached to the described Paseo through an iron footbridge approximately 30 m long, which is safe and free to pass.
