Cellero source

Located at one end of the estate of the Quinta de Clarín in the district of La Rebollada (from the AS-19 at KP 11,300, a special road asphalted to the right). It was rehabilitated with a municipal employment workshop.

It consists of a fountain, a washroom, a spillway and a drinking trough. In this source, she collected water and chapoteaba Elisa, the daughter of the famous writer ¿Clarín ¿y Onofre. The story of the Cellero’s source is closely linked to the Alas family.

During the years that Clarín spent on the estate, the source was a social enclave, frequented mainly by women and children from the surrounding area. On the magic night of St. John’s, the villagers created this source, filled it with flowers and sung around it.

Attention should also be drawn to the proximity of this source to the Church of Santa María de Logrezana.
