Signposted route where two identified tunnelling fields can be considered: Cierru Los Llanos and Les Huelgues de San Pablo, two natural mirrors: Peña ́ l Carro and Peña Tocente and a wetland area: Selmo berries.
‘Monte arreo’ is one of the largest and most extensive tumular necropolis in Asturias, with a little over 4 km of tunnels from different periods and construction methods. It is declared a site of cultural interest. It contains a recreational area.
It is recommended that the day be supplemented by a prior visit to the Neolithic Didactic Aula at the ‘Monte arreo’ C.I.R., located in the neighbourhood of La Vega, where one of the few remaining bares-shops in Asturias is located. Products from the area can be purchased there.
