Tranqueru Green Way

Difficulty: Easy.

Journey: 1.6 km (one way). Pedestrian and cyclotourist use

The Tranqueru Green Way coincides with the Perlora-Xibares section of the E-9 Coastal Way, which joins Xibares beach with the section from Aboño.

The track uses the old railway box known as ‘El Carreño’ (1909), which would run through one of the most aggressive areas of the route, hanging on the cliff of the Tranqueru beach and along a line parallel to the coast.

Wheelchairs: they cannot access from Xibares, they must do so from the Perlora car park, which has places reserved for people with disabilities. There is no track access ramp, the gap between the parking asphalt and the track is about 3-4 cm. It continues along a natural stone path (quartzite) with some parts removed. From the first tunnel, the road is very thin gravel, without architectural barriers, with a minimum but constant gradient.
