In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Manuel A. Junquera Huergo’s workshop was very prominent.
He unravelled his work in the counties of the central third and the success of the traces and decorations, causing other notchers to have continued with his line of work, reflected in several honeycombs in Corvera, Gozón and Llanera.
The one we are presenting today is from the Fund’s neighbourhood in the parish of Guimarán. The doors of the main front are extensively decorated, separated by a slatted colonder.
It is enriched with vans of ventilation on the sides, with piadous and jaculatory inscriptions.
In short, the design conforms to a formidable sense of order and symmetry.
