The Regueral watershed dates from the 20th century and is a rectangular plant. The rear wall is higher than the rest of the reservoir. It is even higher in the centre, where the coat of arms of the Carreño City Council is currently included.
In 2006, it was rehabilitated by the Workshop for Local Employment, which was responsible for giving it a new look thanks to the removal of unhealthy loads, stone-docking and the implementation of a containment muster.
In addition, the front and surroundings of the water trough were covered with stone to facilitate its arrival in the water trough.
