Dolménica Cierru Los Llanos area

It is a tunny with a circular surface of about 340 square metres, built with layers of earth enclosing a fairly high silver-shaped chamber around two metres inside, built with the large lastrings (that of the roof weighs 2.900 kg) of quartzite rock, usually heavily altered, extracted from the crestones emerging at the upper edges of the saw. The camera is made up of a model of dolm that has already evolved: the sepulcral cavity was accessible via a small gantry or lobby whose entrance was released.

The Dolmen, identified by the archaeologists’ team at the University of Oviedo as Mount Arreo XV, points to the great megalytic, painful, in the central coastal district of Asturias, a time that can be dated around 3.000 BC.

Typologically, it is a classic dolm, fitted with a short corridor or gantry. This structural feature is common in other neighbouring megalotic regions: Galicia or the northern sub-plateau is, for the time being, rare throughout the entire Cantabrian territory, which ranges between the Eo and Bidasoa river basins.

In this dolm were found, among others, a piece of perforated azabache (olive), several sheets of flint (the largest piece is 120 mm long), arrow tips of flint, and quartz, and a good size and cleanliness of filonian quartz.

There are several accesses to this tunnelling, but it is easier to access the CE-6 Pervera-Ambas road at the height of the parish of El Valle, in the Fancornio neighbourhood to take a turnout to the left, there is a sign indicating an Aeromodelismo track. As a result of this rise, we will find the natural viewpoint of La Peña'l Carro on the left bank. It continues along the same track until it reaches a crossroads. If we continue to stand in front of the right margin, we will find the dolm. On the other hand, if we turn left, we will find the Recreative Area.
